Spring Bucket List

Hello again!

Spring is right around the corner and there are quite a few things I want to do over the spring season. In my mind, Spring is from March until May, during most of which I will still be at University. So these things are a mix of things I want to do in Lincoln (University) and Bedfordshire (Home) or potentially travelling elsewhere in the UK.

(1) Coffee dates.

And lots of them. I love grabbing coffees with friends. I'm actually writing this as I'm waiting for a friend to arrive. My favourite places to grab coffee are either 200 Degrees Coffee or Waterstones Cafe, both fantastic friendly atmospheres with really different vibes. I could easily go out for 10 coffees in those months, so maybe I'll get back to you on where is best to go, if ever you find yourself in Lincs?

(2) Go on a long walk.

And I mean long. In the countryside ideally, maybe around a lake? I've been recommended some nice walks near Lincoln which I plan on doing when my Mum comes to visit soon (although this will still be February, therefore not technically 'spring'). I'm thinking of convincing her to go to Nettleton Village in Northern Lincolnshire and have a good walk around in the countryside, but I might also suggest going to the South Commons or to Boultham Park, which are both significantly closer, but will also be far shorter walks.

(3) Easter.

My family and I are planning to be in Scotland over Easter to see my grandparents. While we're there I'd love to find a good walk to do on Good Friday, as per our 'tradition' and a good church to visit on Easter Sunday to celebrate Easter. It'll also be lovely to see our family in Aberdeen, go to the beach and get fish and chips (or vegan equivalent). Maybe some ice-cream from Aunty Betty's too, should we be so lucky.

(4) Plan/go on some trips.

I've just been away for the weekend with some guys from my uni church and it was lovely. It was so great to unplug and unwind, have time away from social media and the internet (less by choice and more due to lack of reception and wifi). I'm now dying to get away again for another weekend, ideally after deadlines and exams, and have another relaxing trip where I go for a walk, read and play cards.

Along with this, I'm also wanting to plan and/or book a trip away in the summer with my boyfriend. At the moment we're thinking of either going somewhere abroad for a mid-week/long weekend, or a slightly longer trip in the UK. If you have any recommendations please let me know! We're wanting this trip to be a proper sight-seeing trip where's its less about relaxing and more about exploring and enjoying ourselves. Any recommendations are very welcome!

(5) Read 5 books.

I'm trying really hard at the moment to read more and am attempting to learn how to speed read. I set myself the goal this year to read 10 books, but it looks as though I'm going to absolutely smash that. Also, if I do end up going on a weekend away to relax and unwind, and to Scotland over Easter, I should be well over half way to 10 by the end of Spring. Again, book recommendations are very welcome. Also, if you'd like some book recommendations, reviews or reading lists please let me know.

BONUS: A deep clean.

I really want to do a deep cleaning day of my uni flat and also my bedroom at home. Not sure how likely this is to get done but it's very fitting to do a 'spring clean' during spring.

Thank you so much for reading! If you have a list of things you want to do during spring please let me know. It might even act as an inspiration for me to do other things. Also, as I said earlier, trip recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Also, let me know which books you would recommend and why, and subscribe to this blog for notifications of when I post!

Thanks again!
